Brazilian footballer widely regarded as the greatest female soccer player of all time. She holds the record for most goals scored at FIFA Women's World Cups (17) and was named FIFA World Player of the Year a record six times. Growing up in poverty in Dois Riachos, Alagoas, she moved to Rio de Janeiro at age 14 to pursue football. She has played professionally in Sweden, the United States, and Brazil, and has been a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador since 2018. Her skill, flair, and prolific scoring have earned her the nickname 'Pelé in Skirts,' though she deserves her own name.
