Nigerian novelist, essayist, and public intellectual whose work explores immigration, identity, race, and gender with clarity and emotional power. Her novels 'Purple Hibiscus' (2003), 'Half of a Yellow Sun' (2006), and 'Americanah' (2013) have won numerous awards and brought Nigerian literature to a global readership. Her TED talks 'The Danger of a Single Story' and 'We Should All Be Feminists' — the latter adapted into a book and sampled by Beyoncé — have made her one of the most recognized feminist voices of her generation.
